On 4th of July 2020 the regulation (EU) 2017/1000 on the "Restriction of PFOA and PFOS" comes into force. According to this regulation, the maximum permissible content for the production and the end product is limited to 25 pbb (part per billion).
Our customers have nothing to fear from this regulation, as GREBLON® non-stick coatings are "PFOA-free" since 2008. However, the coming into force of this regulation has consequences in terms of advertising law. "PFOA-free" is therefore a legal requirement that must be met by every manufacturer.
The statement "PFOA-free" is therefore a matter of course. Its use could lead to a warning in accordance with directive 2005/29/EC and its national transposition.

We recommend to refrain from the explicit claim of "PFOA-free" or to have it legally examined before use.
